116QAnd you had a licence at all times material to

2this action?

3AI believe so.

417QAnd since you started practice, have you

5always been at Hill Avenue?

6AYes, I have.

718QAll right. Now, can you describe for me your

8relationship with Mr. Evans?

9AMr. Evans, with my recollection, has been a --

10had been a customer at Hill Avenue Drugs for a

11number of years, as well as his family.

1219QHow many years, do you recall?

13AI would suspect, but I cannot guaranty, that

14his family has dealt with that pharmacy for

15times previous to my practice in pharmacy.

1620QCan you give us an approximation of the number

17years that you have known Mr. Evans?

18AI would suggest approximately 20 years.

1921QAnd how would you characterize your

20relationship with Mr. Evans?

21AI would probably characterize it as much the

22same as most of my clients or customers in the

23store, that we -- they're more than a client

24or a customer. We gain a bit of a

25relationship with them. They a lot tend to

26become almost on the verge of friends, but for

1the most part it was a business relationship.

222QIt's not fair to say he was a friend/customer

3or customer/friend?

4AFair enough.

523QAnd that's what you call them as customers or

6clients, is that a fair --

7ASure.

824Q-- designation for them?

9AThat's fair.

1025QAll right. Can you describe for me, if any,

11what relationship you have with Dr. Alport?

12AI know Dr. Alport is a physician in Regina. I

13know that his -- he has lived in the area of

14the drugstore for a number of years. I knew

15of his parents and his siblings, and Dr.

16Alport helped deliver my first child.

1726QWould you describe that relationship as one of

18friendship?

19AFair enough, yes. Do you want to argue that?

20DR. ALPORT:Hum?

21ADo you want to argue that?

2227QAnd have, prior to today, you or Mr. Alport

23ever sat together to discuss this case?

24AWe had some casual words about it, yes.

2528QWould you have ever colluded with Mr. Ast to

26-- or with Mr. -- Dr. Alport to destroy

1evidence?

2AAbsolutely not.

329QHave you ever colluded with Dr. Alport to harm

4Mr. Evans?

5AAbsolutely not.

630QNow, can you tell me, please, if you will, or

7describe for me the process of a person coming

8to you with a prescription and how that is

9dispensed?

10ATypically what we do is, if I can assume that

11I know this patient is coming in with a new

12prescription, because the relationship that we

13have with most of our clients we will ask them

14what's happened, what's new, what's different,

15why they're getting a prescription. We will

16typically verify the prescription with the

17patient to make sure that it all makes sense.

18We tend to talk to our -- most of our clients

19as we are filling the prescription and ask

20them a few questions, explain to them a little

21bit about the medication. As we're filling

22that prescription, we will look back on the

23medication history that we have of that person

24to verify whether or not they've had a

25medication like that, close to it, different,

26or whether or not there will be any side
