RE: Statutory Limitations

Dear Robert,

I appreciate what you have done for me and I don't expect any miracles. I'll be amazed if justice prevails. I will eat crow if justice even makes a brief appearance, at any time. The pharmas are above the law and so are the doctors. If they had even one decent bone in their bodies they would apologize for what happened and make amends. They would learn something. They would try to make sure this never happened to another person. The problem with that is that they already know and if they acknowledged even one case, they would be out of business tomorrow afternoon. Their leaders would be joining Bernie Ebbers (C.E.O. of WorldCom) to die in prison. They know that. We are dealing with criminals. We are dealing with organized crime.

I cut Alport lots of slack over the years. But Alport doesn't deserve any more breaks. Unless Alport is the dumbest bastard on the planet, he knew what was wrong with me from the very first day I took Zocor and told him something was wrong. Alport knew and he lied and he has been lying every day since — for almost 14 years! Ast knew as well and so did Annandale. How do I know that now? I know that because I have learned that the symptoms I complained about (which they treated) have been the single biggest problem with statin drugs since Merck first introduced Mevacor (Lovastatin), the predecessor to Zocor (Simvastatin). Myalgia is why most people who start taking statins stop taking statins. Everybody knew. My illness was a mystery only to me, their hapless stupid victim. John N. Alport, M.D., the architect of my torture, watched me writhe in pain — for over six years — with remorseless depraved indifference. Alport: an emblem for his profession.

These people, Alport, Ast, and Annandale, stand convicted by their actions and by this squalid, execrable statutory "defence" that has been cooked up for them by friends of crime.

They can go to Hell. And they will go, laughing then, on the other side of their faces.
