Hi Morley.... I stumbled onto your website after following the Indy media connection for Jerusalem....on the Neturei Karta....wonderful stuff...!! But I would share that like you I was diagnosed a few years back with hypercholesterima...and was put on Zocor and suffered thru with it for one year....every time I visited that doctor, who was involved with clinical study, which he neglected to mention, paid for by Merck...on Zocor...about 3000 patients....I complained strongly about the pain and fog I was living with which began not long after I went on the drug...I suffered with it...and whenever I mentioned this to him....I got completely discounted and dismissed... He kept telling me that "your numbers are great...dont mess with what works!"....but doc I am in such pain...I cant do anything... I cant even walk...how is that healthy....?? I happened to have a chiropracter who was interested in alternative meds and when she listened to me...she encouraged me to stop taking the Zocor after she read me some insidious paragraphs in her reference book...I was planning to have some surgery and she urged me to stop taking the drug prior to that surgery to avoid complications...which I did stop....and not long after that I had a revisit with my original physician....I told him that I had discontinued the drug...and without batting an eye....he told me that he would not see me again....basically "firing me"....I was incensed that he would not listen to me, support me, or offer information...that was the end of that. I moved out of Texas not too long after that and decided that I would rather die than take that sort of medication ever again.
